چکیده

The modification of metal alloy powders by coating with nanoparticles offers the possibility to improve additive manufacturing processes, in particular powder bed fusion metals laser beams (PBF/LB-M), from material side view. Subsequently, component qualities including mechanical properties and microstructural characteristics could be improved. Furthermore, enables improved energy utilization due an increase absorption. In this work three commercial powders, namely stainless steel (1.4404), tool (1.2709), aluminum (3.2381) were coated different (Silicon carbide (SiC), few layer graphene (FLG), iron oxide black (IOB) light absorption PBF/LB/M process, properties, flowability powders. was conducted within a fluidized system, resulting homogeneous coatings. This study demonstrates, that well scalable processes i.e. stirred media milling have potential AM regarding their bulk density, flowability, absorption, which is crucial step towards improvement efficiency whole PBF process. Overall important information relations gathered transfer them real deposition process future work.

Some aspects on designing for metal Powder Bed Fusion

Additive Manufacturing (AM) using the Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) is a relatively new manufacturing method that is capable of creating shapes that was previously practically impossible to manufacture. Many think it will revolutionize how manufacturing will be done in the future. This thesis is about some aspects of when and how to Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) when using the PBF method i...

Milk powder agglomerate growth and properties in fluidized bed agglomeration

Fluidized bed agglomeration is used to produce large and porous dry agglomerates with improved instant properties. Water (or binder solution) is sprayed in the fluidized bed of particles to render their surface sticky. The agglomerate growth results from the repetition of different steps (wetting of the particle surface, particles collision and bridging, and drying) and depends on the processin...
